Heey Everyone!!
Lately I have been wondering why we go through so much laundry detergent so often! So...I did a little research! It never killed nobody :) What I found was very surprising! People are wasting too much laundry detergent on a load of laundry. The cups or lids that come with the soap are designed to use the "specified" amount.
Now of course they wouldn't be making money if they weren't screwing someone over, and its us. Because what they say is the needed amount for the number 1 on the cup is actually around 4 tablespoons of soap. When I did my research it actually says the amount of soap needed to clean a full load of laundry is only 1 tablespoon of soap! that could be 4 loads of laundry you are using up in one, or if you are like some people I know you fill that cup till the brim because the clothes will be cleaner.
This DIY will help you save soap and keep your laundry room clean !
What you will need:
1 large juice bottle
1 measuring spoon( The biggest one 1TBSP )
Scissors
Large laundry soap container
To start cut the top off of the juice bottle about 2 -3 inches from where it straightens out. This will be your drip catcher.
Than cut a hole about the size of a typical school eraser to fit the laundry spout in.
Next cut a half circle or square out of the opposite side for your spoon to rest in, also making it easier to remove spoon full of soap.
Finally put the catcher around the spout and your on your way to saving money and soap!
PS: Not letting me upload my photos ! pictures will be uploaded as soon as possible !
